2.7 describe the tests for glucose, starch, proteins and lipids

Glucose: add Benedicts reagent and heat solution. If it turns from blue to orange, then
glucose is present. The redder the color the more glucose is present.

Starch: a few drops of iodine solution, a deep blue black colour change is a positive result

Proteins: drops of Biuret reagent, positive result = purple colour

Lipids: ethanol, a milky white emulsion is formed if a lipid is present
