2.34 describe the differences between aerobic and anaerobic respiration

Aerobic respiration: energy is released from glucose when it is fully broken down. It uses oxygen in the reaction and happens in the mitochondria.

Anaerobic respiration: takes place when the heart and lungs can’t work fast enough to provide the oxygen needed for aerobic respiration. Less energy is released in this reaction because the glucose cannot be fully broken down.
